Our wrestling team held a banquet last night and it was such a nice gathering and celebration of their success this past year! Thank you, Coach Franco, Coach Olivo and of course our "Glue" Vangie Rodriguez for keeping our athletes together, like family, supporting each other, keeping strong and more ready to compete for Moody HS. Every year is a new challenge and this year we will be losing a lot of strong Senior wrestlers. Our wrestling team has years of holding a positive record where many athletes place in tournaments, at District, Regionals, and State. It is one of those unique sports that all though is truly up to the individual athlete's performance and discipline, it also brings out so much personal growth, camaraderie, courage, and togetherness as a team and it is a feeling that only wrestlers can understand.
This school year the Moody Wrestling team ended up with close to 50 students joining! Many of the athletes enjoyed it so much that they wished they started earlier during their high school years. We had many Seniors earn a special Award/Recognition for the THSCA Academic All-State 2nd Team which is truly amazing! We are losing four amazing Seniors that participated for Moody for all four years: Audrey Alvarado, Layla Chapa, Amaris Villarreal and Josiah Zaragoza. Their leadership and presence will truly be missed. We wish the Senior Wrestlers the best in their future endeavors and hope they remember to return to support the next group of wrestlers through the years! We look forward to seeing the athletes compete next season and seeing more students join our Moody Wrestling Family!
Please congratulate ALL the Wrestlers for a job well done this year!

What a wonderful 2 nights of music! Our Foy H. Moody High School Piano & Guitar students (including our Cunningham @ South Park Guitar Wolves) did an amazing job at their respective Spring Recitals at Wolfe Recital Hall, Del Mar College on May 19 & 20.
Each performance showed just how much these young musicians have grown—we’re so proud of their hard work and talent!
Huge thanks to Del Mar College for hosting us, to our amazing piano instructors (Mr. Salinas, Ms. Rodriguez, Mr. Perez, and Ms. Garcia) and guitar instructor (Mr. Fuentes), and to all the families and friends who support our students.
Bravo to all our performers! 🎶🎹🎸👏 #MoodyPiano #MoodyGuitar #CSPGuitar #SpringRecital #StudentMusicians

Corpus Christi ISD is proud to announce the next phase of its 1:1 for everyone, which expands access to digital learning tools for all grade levels. During the 2025–26 school year, students in grades K–12 will have access to a district-issued device. Students in grades 3 through 5 will have access to a 1:1 device while at school, and students in grades 6-12 will have a device directly assigned to them for use at school and home. Families of students in grades 3–8 will also have the option to request that their child’s device be sent home for extended learning opportunities. Highlights of the Initiative: Internet filters: All devices will be equipped with internet filtering to help ensure safe browsing at school and home. Insurance options: Families will have access to device insurance options ranging from $15-$30, which can be found on the school webstore. Student Technology Service Center: Certified high school student technicians will continue to provide device repair and maintenance through the Student Technology Service Center, supporting both sustainability and career-ready skills development. “Providing devices for each student ensures equitable access districtwide and enables students to take learning beyond the four walls of the classroom, when appropriate,” said Director of Technology Support Services Janelle Reyes. To learn more about the 1:1 Student Device Initiative—including FAQs, please visit ccisd.us/page/technology-services or reach out through Let’s Talk or by contacting Technology Services by texting (361) 600-3691 or emailing Let’s Talk at ccisd.tx@k12-lets-talk.com

Moody High School will be using a block schedule on Monday, May 5 through Wednesday, May 7 to provide ample time for our students who are taking End of Year assessments in classes. These assessments provide us with information on your student's academic growth throughout the 2024-2025 school year. Please make sure our Trojans are in classes for these important assessments. Seniors who regularly have excused periods must follow this schedule to participate in their assessments and for proper attendance reporting.
Go Trojans! 💙💛

Congratulations to our Coach Oscar Valenzuela who is officially being named Moody Head Boys Basketball Coach. Coach Valenzuela's commitment to Moody is unmatched serving 18 years for the Moody Trojans. Valenzuela is currently Moody's AVID teacher and has coached multiple sports while here at Moody High School. Coach Valenzuela takes on this new role with having previous experience in coaching basketball, soccer, cross country, football and track for Moody High School. We are excited to have him take over the program and see the great things he has to offer Moody High School Boys Basketball.
" I'm excited for the opportunity to lead this basketball program where we'll sharpen each other like iron sharpens iron and help transform boys into young men of character. Through discipline and teamwork, we will be a competitive fun team to watch. " -Oscar Valenzuela
